Label TextWeininger was very active in the theater workshop at the Bauhaus. His stage designs sought to transform abstract compositions into three-dimensional space that could be inhabited by figures. He pursued his interest in the stage after he moved to Berlin in 1928. In Design with Architectural Studies and Figures, three figures occupy the shallow foreground space, suggesting a stage and backdrop. The architecture continues the earlier De Stijl experiment of House Fantasia.
