Label TextAncient Egyptians kept dogs as household pets. They also served as hunting dogs and family guardians. This amulet depicts a dog, curled up and resting its muzzle on its hind legs. By wearing the amulet, it protected the wearer from malevolent forces. It may also represent a beloved family pet.
