Label TextIn addition to the official seals, sealings carrying the impressions of multiple individual seals are also known from Doliche. These are characterized by their small size and concave impression, indicating that they were made using carved gems. This example shows the goddess Fortuna holding a cornucopia, expressing, perhaps, the personal hopes of the individual who sealed the document.Exhibition HistoryMaking an Impression: The Art and Craft of Ancient Engraved Gemstones, Michael C.
