Label TextThis sealing preserves the impression of another official seal type: the facing busts of Castor and Pollux (Roman Polydeuces), shown beardless and wearing conical piloi. The twin sons of Jupiter feature prominently in the cult iconography of Jupiter Dolichenus, and were known collectively in this context as the Castores Dolicheni.
