Label TextA crested Macedonian helmet in profile to left (fragment preserving lower half of the helmet, with lowered cheek guars, visor and neck guard).

The motif is common on Macedonian coinage from the fifth century BC. It becomes especially popular on engraved gems during the second century BC, perhaps in response to hostilities with Rome.
