Label TextThis is a working drawing for LeWitt's Concrete Block series. LeWitt first came to prominence in the 1960s as a Conceptualist artist. In Conceptualism art exists in the idea rather than in a physical object. These pencil drawings show Lewitt experimenting with different patterns or formulae which can be used to generate various combinations of concrete blocks.
