Benque & Co.

French, active 1880s - 1890s
BiographyWilhelm Benque (1843-1903) was a portrait photographer who worked out of a studio at No. 33 Rue Boissy d'Anglas, Paris, France, in the 1880s and 1890s. He was associated with two other photographers, Klary and Kneubuhler, but the studio remained known as either Benque, Benque and Co., or Benque et Klary until it was taken over by Matuszewski around 1900.
2026 update: per Wikidata, Benque & Co was a partnership of Wilhelm Benque and Franz Benque. I have created additional constituent records for Wilhelm and Franz and have attached them to their relevant objects.
