Label TextThis bronze bowl is composed of a short flaring neck and lobed body. The inside of the bowl is decorated with two rearing ibexes in repoussé within a roundel framed by three concentric circles of varying width. The musculature of the ibexes and their horns are beautifully detailed. Several bowls of this type were excavated at War Kabud and Chamzhi-Mumah in Luristan, and date to the late eighth – early 7th century BC.
