Label TextA bust of a young woman wearing a chiton fastened at the shoulder on either side of the neck. Her hair is arranged in a so-called melon coiffure with wedge-shaped sections twisted back from the forehead and gathered in a high bun at the back of the head. An incised line running across the crown indicates where a fillet or wreath was attached. The eyes were inlaid, probably with glass irises set into lime paste.The head was likely attached to an item of furniture.
