Label TextThe stele is carved in relief with a nude, muscular youth in right profile. He wears a fillet over his short, curly hair, and carries a strigil in his right hand, displaying the blade against his left. The proper left side of the stele is engraved in Greek with an inscription, added later (perhaps 3rd century B.C.): "To be a memorial to you in your prime, Glaukotas, your mother dedicated me."
